These are some of the projects we're exploring. We will select a few key smaller projects to start and will start promoting them by Sept 2026. Once we gain traction, we'll expand the project list and take on some of the bigger ones.

Finding a Space
We're looking for a multi-functional space in Dundas. Ideally, in a high-traffic area so we can put a sign in the window and drive awareness. Co-working would be great, as long as we have a private office, an event space for hosting larger groups, a comfy lounge area with a whiteboard for brainstorming, storage space and an ethical landlord who also wants to see Dundas become the kindest town in Canada. Willing to lease or purchase a commercial building for the right fit.

Digital Favour and Borrow Board
Local bulletin board (digital and 'old school' post-it notes) for "Need a Favour", "Need to Borrow" or "Do a Favour", "Lend an Item". One stop shop for local pay-it-forward tasks. We are working through safety considerations - how do we ensure people operate with pure intent without adding a huge administrative burden? Open to ideas...

Request an Expert and/or Mentor Support
Request an Expert! Experts make themselves available for 'the good, bad and ugly' information session about their profession. Potential for individual mentor-mentee matchmaking, general business mentoring and/or help for specific issues, e.g. "solve my problem" sessions where an entrepreneur presents a challenge to a group of experts and we brainstorm potential solutions (all info kept confidential, of course).

Education & Networking Evenings
Donation-based (pay what you can) educational sessions, e.g. evidence-based sessions on health, finding your purpose/passion, local networking (find new friends, business partnerships, customers), 'how to' handyman/woman skills workshops, local charity and business presentations, etc.

Pop-up Events
Think pet adoption, art features, foodie stuff, meditation, sound baths, music nights, novel markets, food donation hub, charitable holiday packages, Knitted Knockers of Canada stuffing parties, volunteer recruitment and support for local charitable campaigns.

Housing Solutions
Exploring tiny homes and other innovative solutions to create a new model for resource sharing and sustainability. We're consulting the experts to see what's possible when we come together with a shared mission.

Non-profit Groceries
Are there ways to buy wholesale (large scale) and then, split items up for individual families to reduce costs? Think re-usable containers that you could refill as needed. Also, could there be a frozen meal 'depot' that sources low-cost ingredients to create healthy, cost effective options?
